Dish isnt wasting any transponder space by showing a Charlie Chat. They use Dish's channel 101 to do it

I miss the Charlie Chat and wish D* would do something like it. And it certainly is no waste of transponder space. I for one would like to see those who are in charge of a company that I subscribe to telling me (us) what plans they have in store for us and to answer questions.

The Chats make E* look like one of the hick cable systems we have around here. Back in the C-band days, when satellite viewers were technically inclined, it made some sense.

Today, for the average customer, a chat about satellite TV is about as useful as a "Toaster Chat" or a "Dishwasher Chat."
