The Ciel-2 satellite is now on the schedule for a December 3rd launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. She is riding a Proton-M/Briz-M rocket system.

Presumably it's the modified (again) version of the Breeze-M. They really should have fixed it for sure this time. Really. For sure.
No time set. The third is a Wednesday. Don't most launches from Kazakhstan occur at night, for some reason? Might have to take the day off, since that would be daytime here, set the DVR and pop some corn. Could be "exciting." Certainly, will be interesting, with a lot of folks holding their breath.

Nimiq 4 made it safely last week, now let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the same. GO Ciel 2 !!!!!!!!!!!
Probably best to have everybody indoors down range from Baikonur. The fuel is very toxic.
Astra 1M is up before Ciel-2 with ILS. They have an end of Ocitber launch (oddly, no date yet). ILS has now had 2 succesful launches since the AMC-14 failure.
