CNBC HD won't be HD

At least they're not stretch-o-vision faking it like TNT or the non theater Discovery channels. :rolleyes:

Honestly, Voom HD News could use some competition. Fox, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, etc. are all welcome parties to the table.

Next year will likely see a surge of HD sales as a result of more content--chicken and egg. Ask anyone that paid (like 8k) around 2000(?) for a HD "ready" rear projection CRT or plasma how much content was available then. Now, a no-name 32" LCD is available with a tuner for $400. Chicken and egg...always

The new Discovery channels are not in stretched. They are up converted. There is a differece.
