Anyone out there use coal and have a bin? Let's see what yours looks like, I'll show you mine. Holds about a ton, made from seat of the pants, bought nice antique sign for front, ready to go for the winter.

Lumps, not ground/powdered? Boiler?

With a little more work and the appropriate lawn ornaments, you could make it look like a Garden Gnome outhouse. :D

Looks great, and neat! Will it stay that way after a winter of use, or does the coal mess everything up?
 
I looked it up. Home coal today uses what looks like a bunch of coal pebbles.
 
Coal unused will last a long time, mice don't eat it, ants/termites don't eat it, no mold, mildew, bugs, etc. to worry about.
