Anyone watching, see the sparks coming off the right side of the cutterhead? that's likely from 1)hitting the shale & 2) not keeping the bits up...
I saw several on the right side of the head with no tips and a couple of broken bits, and could see the machine bouncing because of it...

It took me a couple seasons to warm-up to Deadliest Catch. Offhand, this show doesn't interest me...but I'll set a timer and give it a try.

I can't help but think that it's trying to cash in. Just a little bit. In the same way TLC tends to clone their reality shows.

They are running this mine with a generator, no wonder the operators kick the power as a miner, even a tiny one like the one on this series will use a lot of amps...

Well what do you expect? I was a prison guard/correctional officer till yesterday , when I retired. The best part is I'm only 48 , so I hope to receive many years of retirement checks for the rest of my life. Oh and my insurance is free too.

Thanks. I am looking for another job right now to supplement my income since retirement isn't going to be enough to live on. I am just glad I don't have to see & listen to inmates and their vulgur mouths anymore. I might even stop swearing now,since I don't have to anymore.

Notice the pick hammer on the guy thats bolting belt? that's what you use to check the back or "top" as they are referring to it on this show...
Nobody is wearing their safety glasses on this show, it's the law... power is what is the problem with this operation.
