As of August 1, 2005 Comcast Cable Albuquerque, NM will increase rates

Basic Plus Extra Service w/cableguard (channels 2-79 & 99)
from 43.60 to 46.60

Basic Plus (channels 2-79 & 99) from 43.35 to 46.35
Basic service (channels 2-7, 11-28 & 99) from 9.95 to 10.45

Digital Classic from 54.55 to 57.55
Digital Plus from 58.55 to 61.55
Digital Silver from 73.20 to 76.20
Digital Gold from 81.20 to 85.95
Digital Platinum from 94.20 to 99.75

Internet Service stays the same 42.95 or 47.95 w/5.00 modem rental

As reported in today's Albuquerque Journal that will mean a Basic Plus cable bill with taxes and fees over $50! And that's with no digital or premium channels! Thank God for Satellite!

That's cheap compared to Baltimore. Its $53 for what you are calling basic plus!

It may be cheap in Baltimore, but here Comcast likes to charge more and give the subs less. As JDMart said "Thank God for Satellite" -- I wouldn't change to comcast if they offered me free service for life.

Normally I would agree, but Comcast does have some good introductory offers. Mine is $47 for Digital Plus with a DVR for 16 months. Then its $73, which will be about the same time I jump back to satellite. Man, I miss Voom!!! Oh well...
