I saw on Cramer's Mad Money show last night had a guest from Comcast on and he showed their new ipad app that will allow you to control your Comcast programs and DVR from the ipad as well as watch content from Comcast on your ipad anywhere, much like sling does on Dish Network receivers. It won't require any special hardware like a sling box but will work by sending commands directly to Comcast from your ipad via wifi and then Comcast will send the content from them directly to your ipad or you can also control the DVR from your ipad. It was a brief demo but looked fascinating.
