Hi:
I am a DTV subscriber and I am moving to north Mexico.
Can I connect my receiver to the internet in Mexico?
I want to be able to access the Cinemaplus features.

Thanks for your replies.

Thanks but,

Will DTV know about me being in Mexico if I connect my receiver to the internet and may lose my subscription?

Thanks for the replies

They would if they ping your modem, that would tell them who your ISP is and they would then know where your at.

As Ice said, sure you can, but would I, No.

Ok.
One last question.
Is there a way I can hide my ISP or IP address?

Thanks

I dont know how to do that, others may ...
If this is that important to you, hook it up when your using it and disconnect it when your not ... just make sure you disconnect it.

If he uses it, I am pretty sure they will get the IP.

Best policy is to not do it period, end of discussion.

Second best policy (although I could care less) is to not come on this site and ask questions about how to get away with stuff that DirecTv forbids as there are many D* employees here.

Once while you may be american and simply moving to northen mexico we are not allowed to provide service there and just like the many canadians who come by here you will get the same its illegal line. I cant go light on people in mexico any more then I can people in canada.
