Contract or no contract?

Quick question:
I was flagged down by someone today, They said they called dish but could not credit qualify. He said they told him he had to pay over $200 to get started.

He also said he has a outstanding bill with dish so...... He asked if he could use equipment his dad was willing to give him 322 & 522 and dish 500 dp twin. Would he still have to do a credit check and or a contract?

He asked me if I could install it if he could just pay monthly.

got his phone number and told him I would call when I get a firm answer.

Get his dad to set up a second Account in his Dad's name and use his Dad's credit card . Use the older equipment and dish to do it and there shouldn't be any problem. I have 3 accounts in my name for me , my parents and aunt.

Get your install money up front. If he owes DISH and wants to go back but dosen't want to pay and can't credit qualify? Does deadbeat sound like an appropriate description?
