I live in South Florida.

I currently have a dish pointed at 110/119, and a wing dish pointed at 61.5

Naturally, I have not been able to receive the new HD channels.

I have a service call schedule for Friday morning. I assume they will convert me to Western Arc.

Will the Western Arc work in conjunction with the dish pointed to 61.5? During the summer, I am able to receive some baseball games on 61.5 in HD, and I don't want to give that up.

Why do you think you will be moved to the Western Arc? You are in South Florida and will probably be on the Eastern Arc so all will be cool....

What you say makes sense, but who says Dish Network does what makes sense? Miami locals are on 110 and 119, which I understand is Western Arc.

You will get a western arc dish 1000.2 and maybe I will be there to install it.Dish is in the process of calling customers and phasing out old equipment. You will get everything and more off 129 as long as you don't receive international programming.

Well, I am in Coral Springs. I don't know how far you are.

Back to my original question. With Western Arc dish 1002.2, will my wing dish aimed at 61.5 still be usable? If not, can the installer just add a dish pointed to 129 to my setup...same as Western Arc, but not really?

Yes tell them to leave it it will work together but it will take some prompting on your part.

The 1000.2 has a lnb in port for a wing dish tell them you want to keep 61.5

Thank you. For all I know, the channels might be moved from 61.5 by next summer, but I don't want to take a chance.

I see from Google Maps that Seminole Florida is on the other side of the state, so I doubt that you will be my installer.
