Coolsat 4000 Pro

Anyone know if this box uses a null cable or straight to connect? Also, what is the latest factory firmware, I can't seem to get on coolsatusa/

Make sure you use the right software

Yup someone must have asked the same thing recently. And of course IceBerg had the answer.

There must be a few of these floating around cheaply since N3. That is ok I needed a cheap one to play with first.

One nice thing about these Coolsat receivers... You can use the WRONG cable and it won't cause any damage to the receiver or your PC, it just simply won't work. The loader program will simply ask you to "Connect Your Receiver And Turn It ON"

If it doesn't work, simply try the other cable.
