Cotton bowl score

I am trying to watch the cotton bowl on my local fox channel and the side with Kansas state is chopped off, cant even tell what the score is. Tried to stretch and unstretch and that doesnt fix it. Why cant all channels just be HD

I'm watching in HD and the picture is fine... Is your TV or receiver in stretch mode?

My channel is not HD, i dont have it stretched. I guess it is just the feed.

the issue is Fox this past year went to a widescreen format. SO if the channel is in SD you would normally have black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. But it sounds like the channel is "chopped" where the far left and right side of screen is chopped off.

The result? half of the bug gone

Yep... Grey bar cuts off the Kansas score.

Now they changed it, looks like the small postage stamp now, black all around the picture. At least i can see the score now.

Better move to HD. This shows the networks are not supporting the 4x3 viewing area any more. This is a 16x9 picture chopped to 4x3 for SD viewers....

Luckily Kansas State can't seem to score, so you're not missing much on that side of the scoreboard

HD's are not available in my area. I live in West Virginia i think we are underserved!!!
