Cox Internet and TV

As part of the digital changeover, the cable companies were required to leave locals in the clear for their subscribers, so that a converter box was not required. There was movement to change that recently, but I haven't really followed what has become of it.
I don't think we will see in the clear much longer. Everyone will be encoding digital.

I wish the Las Vegas locals were in the clear. Its much harder to get an OTA signal there in our condo. I get great OTA coverage from attic antenna at house in Broken Arrow so I dont even have the cable connected to the tv for cox locals. I just us slingbox to get Tulsa locals from satellite receiver while in LV. Not going to pay Cox for lifeline out there. They get enough from me already for 2 internet accounts.
