I checked Cox cable pricing and the lowest package I can get with a DVR bundled with my internet that I already have, would be cheaper for the first 3 months(their intro pricing is for only 3 months), then it would be right at $100 per month plus the $62 per month for internet. Currently paying $68 per month with Dish. Cox fees are $22 per month. I would get a lot more channels with Cox, but I only watch less than 10 channels plus networks now.

As expensive as Dish gets, it is still competitive with cable. Cable has price increases, but you do not hear of them since they are not nationwide but by community.

Cox just sends me an increased bill without any notice. My internet has went from $45 per month to $63 over 10 years.
