Cox to carry the SEC Network

Cox Communications will carry the SEC Network, which launches Aug. 14, in a deal announced Wednesday by ESPN.

The network will be available in all Cox markets, and subscribers will also have access to additional live events scheduled for the SEC Network's digital platform, with the ability to watch SEC Network content anytime, anywhere on their television, computer, tablet or mobile device.

Will it be on the extra sports tier or digital basic?

I haven't found anything referring to where it will be placed in the lineup.

digital essential package in Louisiana and probably all Cox sec markets, outside sec markets who knows. It should be in the sports pack on all providers outside sec markets, but that's another gripe.

The package includes programming available in regular and HD capable broadcasts and will be offered in the Louisiana markets as part of Cox's digital essential tier, which is available for $69.99 a month.

My guess it will be the same to all Cox customers.

I just talked to a friend that's pretty high up in Cox. He said he "thought" it would be in the sports digital tier.

Looks like the SEC Channel is on expanded digital. with SEC 1 and 2.
