Credit for downtime due to broken box?

My reciever died on Friday, and they are sending me a new one. Will they prorate my bill for time missed? Or do I need to call them and get it prorated? If they said they are sending us a new box this past Friday, I assume that means it won't see it until at least wed. Has anyone had experience with prorated bill due to downtime?
 
When I did a switch from one HD receiver to a newer model, the installer couldn't finish the installation. He promised to come back the next day but ended up I was out for over a week. When I called to complain, Dish gave me credit back for the downtime.
 
Most likely you will get a credit if you call and express your concern. Especially if you've been a good customer for a while.
