I am looking for some help cutting the cord and seeing what advise I can get. I'm pretty sure an outdoor antenna is going to be my only way to go.

I've looked at these two antennas and am wondering if one of them is correct.
Antennas Direct | ClearStream 5 Extreme Range Indoor/Outdoor Broadband Multi-Directional Digital TV Antenna
Smartpass Amplified Outdoor TV Antenna - "Big Boy" | ANTOP AT-401BV

Ive done the TVFool map to help. I know KABY-TV has been off the air for over 3 years so that channel is out but I'm wondering about the others. Thanks for the help in advance.

The overwhelming problem here is that the stations that you have some hope of receiving reliably are located in nearly opposite directions.

Your chances of getting a NBC or Fox affiliate consistently are next to impossible and ABC will be even worse as they're all showing two edges in addition to their <-97dB signals. Cord cutting is a very low value proposition in this situation.

With KABY off the air and no word on a return, you have to decide whether or not you can live without ABC and CW, because KSFY is probably not going to work out for you. If you can live without them, then you'll get everything else just fine, I think. CBS is on KDLO, PBS on KESD, NBC on K42FI-D, and FOX on K32DK-D.

I do wish Gray would hurry up and get KABY back on the air.

I agree Trip. I’ve emailed KSFY and all they said was to get local cable or satellite tv. I see in Sioux Falls they changed an extra tower to KABY-LD but would be lucky if that ever comes back on the air. And maybe in the near future KELO/KDLO will start broadcasting their subchannels of ION and Escape just to have an couple more options for viewing since they’re in the Sioux Falls and Rapid City markets broadcasting.
