After a long and lengthy search, Sony and Escape Artists have found their helmer for an adaptation of the 1980s TV show "The Equalizer" starring Denzel Washington, entering early talks with "Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn. At this point, Refn has only received an offer, with negotiations expected to start shortly. If the deal closes, Refn will have landed one of the more sought after directing jobs in town.

Ummm...sorry, but The Equalizer was white. Don't call it The Equalizer if it's factually inaccurate.

You are kidding right?

Nick Fury was caucasian in the comics but Samuel L. Jackson clearly is not. M was a man in the early Bond films.

These are fictional characters and they can be reinterpreted or reimagined almost any way you want.

But this is not a current film so the whole darned thread is in the wrong place.
