The Amber Room represented the height of Amber craft during the 18th century and was once considered the 8th wonder of the world. But that was before World War II, when German Troops looted the Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia and carted it away. By war's end, the room was missing ... and the search for it has continued for over sixty years ... even as Russian craftsman work for a quarter century to reconstruct a replica.
