Difference in SW between 301 and 311?

According to Dish's software page, the 311 and 301s are running different versions of software. Does anyone know what the differences between them are?

Different platforms.

There are actually two different platforms that are the model 301 so there is two different software versions for the 301 P2.00 and P2.14. The 311 is again a completely different platform than a 301 so it has different software telling it how to function.
