Digital Channels on a 510DVR

Newbie here. I had a question on the digital broadcast channels thru the "locals" on Dish.
We have the local package for $5/month and get the basic:

- ABC (21)
- CBS (15)
- PBS (39)
- NBC (33)
- FOX (55)

What do I need to do to get the expanded digital channels (PBS would be 39.1, 39.2, 39.3, etc)? Would I need to upgrade to the HD receiver?

Unless Dish decides to add them, your 510 will not receive them. You would need an ota antenna and a digital tuner from either a converter box or dvd player, or some other piece of equipment with one.

Yes, a 622/722/612/211(w/EHD). You could also get them OTA on your TV, but no recording.

Of course you can record them on a ViP receiver, there is just no guide data.
