I am really interested in NBA TV, but is included in a Sports Tier here with 6 channels in the Philadelphia area for $4.95 a month extra, with channels that I have no real desire in such as FOX Soccer Channel, GOL TV, and 3 Fox College Sports Networks. My question is why is NBA TV in a Sports Tier when it was not before? I can see Soccer and College Sports being included in it since they are more niche, but basketball is a pretty popular sport, so I wonder why the NBA would want it in a Sports Tier where the viewership is limited.

Comcast also will not allow you to get it as a seperate channel for a fee since you must subscribe to the entire sports tier or have NBA League Pass. The whole thing is ridiculous, I just wish it was in the most basic digital tier.
