Has anyone tried using passive diplexers to combine and split satellite and ota signals? I just wondered if the insertion loss is enough to affect either signal noticeably.

yes I've used them and yes they work :)

There is a small drop of signal quality especially over long cable runs. But in my bedroom there is only one cable there and I needed it for Dish & antenna. Used two diplexers and it worked great :)

It's about 2.0 dB loss on each diplexer. Like Iceberg said, you'll notice it only if you have long cable runs.

That may be too much loss for me as I am already having problems receiving HDTV.
