DirecTV and Time Warner both broadcast local PBS sub-channels. Why doesn't Dish?

Yeah, down here they either have it on a sub channel, or have it on it's own channel. For example, Ch. 12 is the main PBS station, while 17 is PBS-2 (PBS World) and some other channel is the Create channel. (Another sub station of our local PBS station) NET Technology Services -- Digital TV Channels

Back in the late 60's, I worked on a college radio station in Binghamton, NY. aone of the guys in the news department is now a major figure in NET, Dave Finegold..

I've heard the name before... is he on during the "become a member ,and we'll give you ____" things they do during concerts and whatnot?

Could be. I'm still here in upstate NY. Last saw Dave at a college reunion in Binghamton NY several years ago.

That works for me also:.For those wanting to know if they can receive over the air channels there is AntennaWeb or TV Fool .

Unless it's windy. Or raining. Or daytime. Or a plane's flying over. /sigh

Analog had its strong points.

I loved Analog TV. I could get stations all the way in Oklahoma City! (Not very helpful, but pretty amazing.) Now, I can't get anything. Been though a countless number of antenna's, outside models, inside models, etc.
