This is going to bite Dish Network hard. I wonder how many people will switch because of this. I find it amazing how DirecTv can keep OLN and not have the disputes with certain channels yet Dish Network is the one raising the rates. Now who's the pig OINK OINK OINK!

Well DirecTv may increase the rates now knowing that Dish Network is and knowing they can get away with it. Maybe they will actually not increase the rates and do that as a competitive measure.

I know that Dish Network has a cheaper basic package but that would be the only way that they could lure customers in.

No OLN, and now they are all griping more than I have ever heard before because they dropped Lifetime, and Lifetime Movie. Apparently there was a contract and cost per customer dispute between Lifetime and E*, so E* is holding out after dropping the channels. A lot of E* customers are complaining that they lost OLN, And the Lifetime channels, and having rates raised, so D* is looking more attractive to them!

If they are raise the porn ppv rates by $3 then there will be a lot of people that will just go out and buy a movie before they will spend that much on just a ppv (unless they can record it). You can probably download them or buy them cheaper than that now.

DirecTV does have 2 XX channels and 2 X, but no XXX. They also have 2 cable NC17 or adult NR.

D* has xx pron as well as xxx, depend on which channel you choose to order.

Also HD pron is available after midnight

D* will just add another charge to our HD ST package and make it so we have to get it in order to get HD, like last years Super fan that I never wanted, but did want the NFL in HD.

You can count on that package to go up , seeing CBS is going to have to show more than 3 games next year.
