Directv to follow Dish Marketing Plan?

Those of us with any business sense at all have said Direct will have to follow what Dish (bravely ---lol) started about sports inclusion in packages, unless the RSN's and probably ESPN scaled back their cost to the providers.

A brief translation of their comments; Our outlook is not good for competing prices with Dish if we don't do something.

well considering they have most of the RSN's locked up good for a few years they wont have to worry about losing RSN's
Intresting part of the article that says Direct may look at offering packages without sports? wonder if that will come to be. About a year ago I think, Direct was I think testing some lower packages in some areas, dont know if that ever moved past testing??
