Cowboy Channel HD is testing

Is this just on sat, or is it already (in HD) on stream?

Also a little OT curiosity...is Cowboy Ch doing "pay-to-play" now for some reason, as all of a sudden it's been popping up on other providers like FiOS, & notably Comcast (though in SD-only ) which has steadfastly refused to carry it's parent channel RFD-TV since the channel started.

Cowboy Channel has been testing on stream for about a month

The HD feed appeared in the sat APG data this week, although right now it's just mapped to the Ka offline slate.

As of now it's not pay to play, which is why it's Ultimate+ on sat. The pay to play channels like Racer and Pursuit are in all English, Spanish and international base packages.

I just checked out what has happened to my local Sinclair owned stations in the Greenville-New Bern-Washington, NC DMA (known locally as Eastern North Carolina or ENC). I have an LCC, so I also get OTA signals in my DirecTV Guide. I can see and tune to the local FOX station on Satellite on channel 14, listed as WCTI-D2. I can tune to it OTA on 12-2 and 14-1 (WYDODT). I wonder how long that will be duplicated? I reran the OTA setup to see if there would be any changes, but there were none. After a rescan, my TV OTA tuner lists 12.2 as FOX and 14.1 as WYDO-DT, but they are carrying the same programming.

Both transmitters are on the same tower.

Very interesting. Apparently, the Bristol, TN/VA market is like that as well, with Fox currently on both WCYB 5.3 and WEMT 39.1.

When I use over the air on tv they have
12.2 as Fox (same as 14.2)
14.1 still Fox also

14.1 in Greenville and 39.1 in the Tri-Cities will be switching to ROAR in mid-January.
