disabling on-demand (622)?

I haven't RTFM, but i'll ask anyway. Having to press DVR twice to get to the screen we always want to get to on the 622 is very annoying. Is there a way to disable that so pressing DVR goes straight to the available DVR recordings?

For that matter, pressing DVR repeatedly should make the screen go away, not cycle through timers, etc., as an ergonomic issue. (my wife is now completely confused).

I totally agree.
Haven't found a way around it, but my right thumb is wicked strong now! Jim is onto something.

that is something that annoys me too... still have my 921 and the remotes are very much alike... used to Dvr> Dvr Recordings...
