How long will the Dish 1000.2 be a suitable setup? Will I be able to get all the Dish HD programming with this dish?

As long as you keep using 110,119, and 129. You are on the Western Arc and the 1000.2 is the Dish you get for that. If your locals were to be on 61.5 then it might be a different story as you would need 2 dishes until they let you use the Eastern Arc and the 1000.4. Hope this helps.

Of course some of us live in a part of the country where dish is supposed to be MOVING our locals...

Sure hope they don't before I'm allowed to switch to EA...
