I was wondering if I upgrade to a dish 1000 how many HD channels would I receive with a dish 921 receiver that is mpeg2 compatible.

Some people have told me I will only continue to get the 12-15 I currently get. Others tell me it would be about 50-60.

I have got conflicting arguments from different people but was hoping someone could help me out with this.

Thanks

You'll only get the ones you currently receive. As a previous 921 owner, get rid of the POS and get upgraded to a 622 or 722. You'll love it!

I believe everything on 129 that is HD is MPEG4, so would not receive any additional channels by adding 129 to your setup

Auto Tune with VIP 222

Getting past the 4 leased receiver max
