Dish 411 won't stay on....

Hi All,
I have a dish 411 that I set the inactivity stand by to disabled but the unit still shuts off after several hours of inactivity. This wouldn't be an issue but my Tivo doesn't record when it's turned off

Any advice appreciated.

Are you sure it is due to the inactivity standby or the nightly downloads?

Hmm, never thought of the nightly dl. Can I turn that off too and do it manually instead or is that something that needs to happen? I'd be OK with it if it would turn back on after

You cannot turn this off, but check the time for the download and set unit to auto tune about 10 minutes past that.

Thanks Gary. Can you explain auto tune? I've never heard of that.

It's a subset of recording. It turns the unit on and turns it to a particular channel. Press DVR twice then navigate to manual timer. One option on manual timer is autotune.
