I understand that Dish 500 can now receive locals in Atlanta without installing a second dish.

Can someone tell me specifically in detail how to :

1) What type LNB do I need?
2) I am running to a 322 and need to power a 311
3) What is the difference between a separator and a diplexer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Andrew

I don't understand.

If you already have dish you don't need to do anything different.

If the main question is you have a 322 and want to add a 311, then you need to switch a your DP Twin (assuming that's what you got) with a DP Quad. and run a new line to where you want to add the 311

I guess I wasnt very clear - sorry

I don't have a dish up yet.

What LNB do you use on the Dish 500 to ensure you get all 3 orbital locations?

Do I use a twin with a dual?

How do I run the coax so as to feed the 322 and one 311?

Total of 3 tvs - how do I run the coax to feed the two tvs from the 322 and then the 311 for the third?

Thanks

The Dish 500 is only 2 orbitals.

A Quad will give you 4 outputs with both 110 and 119.

Are you asking because you plan to buy all this stuff and do it yourself. Because if you're getting installed by dish none of this you really have to worry about

as was mentioned, Dish500 only picks up 2 locations (110, and 119)
if you also need 129, a Dish1000 is used for those 3 locations (thats where you would use a twin, and a dual.
Personally, if you need either a Dish500, or a Dish1000, i would buy a DishProPlus Twin for the 110, and 119... the DPP twin will allow you to use one of the outputs to the 322 (with a seperator) and the other output to the 311...
Also, if you do need the 129, the DPP twin, has an input that you would hook the DP dual into.
