 I went to reconnect my satellite dish (500) and found that the cable installer took my 2 SW21 splitters when he connected my COMCAST cable. I could only find one of the SW21 splitters (after going to 5 places). Can I use just the one splitter (I guess the one for satellite 119)? If so, how do I hook up the coax?

Please advise,
Grant

the sw21 is a combiner not a splitter.
one sw21 will combine two sat inputs from two seperate lnbs into one cable going to one receiver.

A sw21 actually combines the 2 satellites (if you have the older style LNB's)

Do you know what type of LNB you have? This is the piece that is sticking out of the arm on the dish. If it looks like one big molded piece, that would be a Twin and that has all the switches built in. If I has 2 separate pieces, that is a dual and you would need the SW21 switch.

Hook the line directly to the receiver and run a check switch. If you can get both 110 & 119, then its a Twin

You can use one only if you have only one reciever. You'll need a sw21 for each reciver you want to have a combined signal.

Best way to add a 721 to my system?
