I got a replacment recever from dish and it had real bad chroma smearing problem.
Only on the Y,Pr,Pb output when watching a SD sat. chnl.
The output is set to 1080i, it does it at 720P setting also.
The s-video out is fine and the HD channels are fine (componet out)
When their is movement there will be a red or blue outline on what is moving.
Sometime this outline is a inch wide.
As another example a guy moved his head left then right.
In one direction the outline was blue.
Then in the other direction is was red.
And one last example: on TNT I was watching Law & order.
the guys white shirt was all blue and the blue was larger in area than his shirt.
I got a replacment and it does the same thing!
The original 6000 I had did not do this.
Was there a software update at the first of the mo. that caused this?
And did I make a mistake on going for the dish811 for $50.00 deal?
Thanks

Im pretty sure if you search for this, you'll find a lot of other 6000 users that notice the same thing. I believe it happens when you watch a SD channel while outputting 1080i to a 1080i tv. The only solution I came up with was to watch SD channels with the 6000 in SD mode (yellow light on) and outputing through the s-video out.

I have not noticed this problem ever since I switched to a 720p projector and my 6000 outputting 720p.
