Dish 61.5 question

I recently had a new roof installed and the Satellite dish(s) were removed. I reinstalled them and lined up the Dish 500 dish. Whatever I did with the 61.5 dish seemed to make no difference with my programming. My questionis : Is the 61.5 dish redundant and has the local chanels been includded in 110 or 119. Just what does the smaller dish do on 61.5 and no I no longer need it? Thanks for any guidence.

Do you have an HD packages or HD locals?

I have seen the same thing...I have relatives with a dish at 61.5, they never had any programming from 61.5. I think the installer really didn't know what he was doing.

It's possible that at one time your and their locals came off of it.
