Dish 61.5

Guess it depends on how fast Dish dishes out the HD locals for those 100 markets, hmm? I'm not holding my breath for Montana. XD Better to try OTA HD locals; Great Falls should have 'em.

I'm installing 61.5 as well, but I am having tremendous problems aiming. I have a Dish 1000 with 110, 119, and 129, and put the cable from 61.5 into the rightmost input on the lnb. The point screen was set to tuner input 1, transponder 2 and 129 with Dish 500. Cannot find a thing... Mount Hope, WV (25880) is my location... Had the dish set at 40-45 Elevation and 90 skew. That was relatively close to what I had it at before I moved. Can anyone help out a bit??? Maybe some more exact numbers?? Thanks to all.

I really don't understand what you're trying to do. If indeed you have a D1000, you can only have 3 orbital locations. So if you want 61.5, 129 has to go away. When you use the dish point screen, you tune to 61.5 if you want to aim to 61.5 not to 129. I also assume you have a separate D500 dish for 61.5.

If you have a D1000.2, then yes you can have 4 orbital locations but you need that wing dish for 61.5.

I have the 1000.2 dish and the separate Dish 500 attached to the lnb input.. I try to aim for 61.5 on the point Dish screen, and no success thus far.. I think my angles might be off.

You should connect the 61.5 directly to the receiver using a barrel connector, it's easier to aim that way. Once you find it, you connect 61.5 to the 1000.2 and run check switch.
