Dish 811

Hello newb here. Just a quick question. How do I download the latest software to my 811 receiver. Thanks

No. I have had it since early Jan.

By the way I have software version 262.

it will download it automatically.... you can see if any upgrades are available buy going to the menu then choice 6 then choice 4. the current version is 265

menu then 6 then 1 then 2, choose download automatically

And then, turn the 811 off with your remote for 15 minutes. It will then automatically download the latest software.

I checked upgrades available, and it says none are available.

did you check to see if you have the upgrades automatically or does it have to ask you????

Do I have to unplug the 811 or just turn off with remote? Also I setup the 811 to download without permission. Is this correct?

you should be good to go

Turn offed 811 for 15 minutes, still have same software. When I turn on it just gets "acquring signal" nothing else

i got my 811 after the first software upgrade and all i did was exactly what you did. you can try unplugging it.

I unplugged the 811 re plugged, liet it sit and I still have the same software. This sucks
