I currently have Dish and Embarq bundled and have no commitment. I'm thinking of dumping Embarq (DSL and Phone) but would like to keep Dish, I am also in need of a new Dish to receive my locals in HD. If I just cancel everything with Embarq, can I sign up as a new account directly thorugh Dish?

Often times I have seen a customer come in as a new customer for Dish, but previously had AT&T/Dish bundled at their home. It really comes down to how well/creative of a sales rep you go thru.
If you cancel and wait 6 months, you may be able to come back under the formers promotion if you still qualify.
Embarq may be able to "unbundle" your Dish service. I would contact a Dish rep to see what they say.
I can answer thiss question accurately.. . . Call Embarq and have them unbundle your account with dish. We would do a form that would unbundle your service then do a disconnect order for your phone and dsl........
