I feel like I read this somewhere, but is Dish about to get into a dispute with Starz? I noticed that on the "My Offers" tab, there is no option for Starz anymore, there is no Startz for new subscribers, and when you go to Premiums | MyDISH | DISH Customer Support there is no sign of Starz; on English Packages | MyDISH | DISH Customer Support then bottom has no Starz, and the advertisement on Top 250 is Epix Drive In where it was always the Starz Encore pack as being included. This seems very similar to HBO where the HBO offer disappeared from the my offers tab then the reference of HBO on the main site was slowly removed. I know when you dig down you can still find Starz, but it isn't being advertised anymore. Have I missed something on Starz - I am searching the threads and can't find where someone brought this up.

Yes, you read this here before. :)

The same thing happened with Epix not long ago but Epix never left and was returned to the Movie Pack and it was business as usual. Hopefully the same thing will happen with Starz/Encore and we won't have a problem.

America’s Everything will just have Showtime then. That would be interesting

It will be very interesting at both the Top 250 and America's Everything Pack. Top 250 also has the Encore channels - which is a $6 package. If those Encore channels were dropped, there is very little difference between Top 250 and Top 200 - and definitely not a $10 difference. Same thing with Everything Pack...

That is one main reason I still have AT250. The Movie pack also has Starz Kids, so that would be lost too. Hopefully things will not get to that point. If AT250 + Movie Pack do not include Encore/Starz, then going to a smaller pack would probably be worth it.

We just got word that Starz is back in the free premium movie channels offer for new customers effective tomorrow so it looks like they probably made an agreement. :clapping

Glad to know that. Dish doers not need to keep losing channels. One thing streaming has going for it, is that a customer can decide what channels they will get. There is no middle man. If they want HBO/Showtime/Starz, they can get it without losing it as long as it is paid for.

Please, enough with the streaming crap! Again, this is the DISH Support Forum.

It is nice to know that streaming options are available. If Dish loses anymore premiums you can just get it and stream it.

My wife and I will be doing that for game of thrones. In the old days you would have to switch services.

It looks like they did reach a deal. All the Starz information is back on the website, the Starz logos are back on the website as part of the Everything Pack, and the real sign is when I login and go to "My Offers" page, I see a discount for 6 months of Starz :biggrin

I get the sentiment for sure but I have to say DISH themselves are touting streaming both with SlingTV and Channel 301. For me it is not an equal alternative however, it is a way to get programming in a less convenient way. So much so my Wife has zero interest in giving up DISH, I'm not far behind that thought. (It helps DISH has the current customer and grandfathered customer promos and we virtually never lose signal)

My beef is that every thread that particular member posts to regardless of the topic he just goes on and on about how great his streaming is and how he streams on this and that and how he has so much streaming, etc., etc. Enough already! If he wants to go on and on about his streaming then he should probably do it in a streaming forum and not the DISH forum.
