Dish Cinema Downloads

I am having an issue watching dish cinema downloads, mainly in HD. Before an update sometime in the past, I was able to choose an on demand download and it would show the progress on a screen and notify me when it was completed in order to watch. It appears now it is trying to do it on the fly. My latest example is platoon was a free download in hd. When I click watch now, it starts and then constantly buffers. Is there anyway to download something overnight anymore? I am running a homeplug from my router to a VIP722 downstairs. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you want to select Watch Later and not Watch Now.

Even when I choose that, I can't really tell if it is doing anything. I sure liked seeing the status bar in the old software. Maybe it is downloading and it is just that slow. May be time to run Ethernet downstairs.
