Dish Earth Channel

Would any one know what the Object is on the Channel 212 on the lower right of Dish Earth? I was flipping channels and decided to look a Dish Earth for a minute and seen an object on the lower right on the screen. Could it be a satellite? Time 12:10 10/28/09

Probably the moon.

That's no moon - it's a space station....

That might be lens flare. If the sun is shining directly on the camera lens it can make what appears to be a round blob on the screen.

The Object is back on Dish Earth Channel 212 this time on the left side. I looks like it could be a satellite. Time 11:09 10/29/09

Next time I see it I will try to post a picture of it.

The moon can be seen from time to time on the channel, but it does not look as you would expect. The satellite is about 22000 miles from the earth, and the moon-- when it is visible-- is another 240,000 beyond the earth, give or take. The moon is small when you can see it, and there is not a lot of detail visible.
