Dish faces 16 station blackout, as News-Press & Gazette Broadcasting talks stall

Officials for News Press & Gazette say they'll pull their 16 TV stations off Dish Network (NASDAQ: DISH) if a retrans renewal deal can't be worked out by 6 p.m. EST Tuesday.

Both stations are owned by News-Press & Gazette Company, and there's already a thread that was started by a certain user that is becoming too obsessed with Dish lately from HD channels to new Hopper Apps to the new Carbon UI.

Believe it or not, some of these stations are not currently being rebroadcast in HD!

There are a few markets where Dish doesnt carry them in HD
I would say somewhere around 25 (just a guess)

I still had KNPN in St. Joseph, MO as of Thursday evening, but I did not see any mention anywhere of an extension past Thursday at 4.

Dish has just signed a long-term agreement with News-Press Gazette, averting the channel blackout. Terms of the deals were not been disclosed.
