DISH HD Only Package

Somebody forgot to add the SD into the package flags. Same thing happened when they turned on CNN, SciFi and USA-HD. The SD channels showed up a few days later.

Thanks. I hope you are right. I don't mind using the space for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse if it were actually in HD!

No you do not get all the sd equivalent channels with the Hd pack I am missing a few. I was hoping to have the cartoon network still in SD for my 510 dvr but no luck. Just ordered yesterday. Do you know How to get another Vip722dvr without having to commit to a 24 month contract?

Historically, the SD equivalents show up a few days later, so I am holding on (now 3 days later)...

I called last month to price replacement receivers. Since I turned in my 510 2 months ago, I thought I could upgrade to a HD receiver and the cheapest I could get was $99, probably with a monthly fee as well. I am waiting for a existing subscriber special update offer on the website, but everything seems to be geared to new subscribers.

They don't want to bother dealing with us pain-in-the-a$$ existing subscribers -- you know, the ones who are paying the bills...

Thanks for the tips guys. Reduced my bill from $120/mo to $41/mo! I was getting tired of paying for a bunch of channels that I didn't watch and with the recent 'upgrade' of HD channels (namely Scifi HD), everything I watch was now in HD.

The point is you WILL get the SD versions soon. E* forgot to set the flags correctly twice now, Once with CNN, and once with SciFI/USA. They fixed the issue within days of each launch...

If you're contract is up you can get that new subscriber deal. You just have to lean on them enough and get bumped up to a specialist. I've done it twice now. The cost to replace you is a lot more then giving that package and keeping you locked in for another 18/24 months.
