Dish Install Question

If Dish TV is ordered over the phone, can you request a local Dish retail shop to do the install work? Does Dish TV use contractors to do the install work or do they sometimes use local retail shops to do the install? I am concerned of having a good qualified installer to perform the install. Thanks to all that respond.

Go to the local retailer and buy the system from them!!!!
Order from DISH directly and take your chances, yes they do contract out the installations, they also have their own employees Dish Network Service Corporation that installs.

I agree too, but both long time local retailers by me that have good reputations cannot get any 622s. Their distributors tells them they are back ordered. One distributor says the 622 has software problems. The other distributor says Dish TV call in installs get the 622s first. Also, when I talked to CSR they were going to include a DPP 44 switch with a 622 and 625 order with a Dish 1000 antenna. One of the local retailers says that I will have to pay for the switch. It is all so confussing to me.

Learn patience with DISH Network. DISH has a noted history of having problems with new products(BETA TESTERS), the VIP622 is on hold because it had problems so bad it couldn't be released. The 622 started shipping yesterday and the people that get them will have a very high probability of bad units by previous DISH history. If you are in a rush to get DISH order directly your local retailler isn't lying DISH takes care of themselves before they help out their dealers. But understand you will probably be unhappy with the receiver you get if you don't wait at least 6 months before buying a 622.
