Dish interactive.

This is really bogling my mind.

I know at one time dish had the interactive channel. (Ch 100), where you could view the weather and stuff.

But IIRC, at one time they had it, where if a TV commercial came on, if you pressed select on the remote, you could learn more about a product.

Does anyone else remember this?

They still have Dish Interactive to my knowledge. There should be a Dish logo button on the remote you can press and that will bring you to it.

I know they still have that. But I remember TV commercials where you could press a button to learn more.

I know the on-screen bugs still pop up from time to time. IIRC last week I pressed Select on a NatGeo bug and it changed the channel to NatGeo.

You need to have TV enhancements enabled in the guide. Also, these triggers you are referring to are only on the SD versions of the channels. So if you have your guide set up to only display HD channels, then that is most likely why you aren't seeing the triggers appear. Or you have TV Enhancements disabled.
