Hopefully D* does right by their subs, but with potentially more PPV, and 3D, one must wonder. Personally, I believe that 3D is a huge miscalculation by anyone that invests in it, but that's another topic.

They are not going to send a bird for all of that money up to space for PPV only Remember D11 was announced that it would mostly be used for spot, changing mpeg2 HD to mpeg4 HD, and expanding their sports packages = more PPV, well ahead of time.

Most of those PPV ARE going to be via VOD internet download to your DVR. Notice they announcement specifically said it was movie titles, not movie channels.

Direct has already put out a release to their CSRs stating which national channels will be available during the first phase, and there ARE a lot.
