Getting ready to put the dish on the roof, and I realize I'll have another problem:

Since the roof is sloped and I need to put the dish on the back side of the house, it'll be pointing towards the rooftop. Also, the SG2100 motor lowers the dish on the standard mount. As a result I need a longer pole otherwise the dish will touch the roof and it may be too low anyway for the signal to clear the rooftop (although at elevation angles between 40 and 50 degrees I should be fine I think).
So, can I use a straight galvanized steel pipe as a replacement for the pole that came with the dish? I think I'll need a 3-ft pole to get the dish high enough.
Thx,
Chris.
