Is it true that along with converter boxes, Dish Network will be releasing a receiver capable of converting digital to analog?

All the current receivers convert the Dish digital signal to analog to connect to an analog TV.

I'm sorry, that's correct. I am referring to a receiver capable of taking over-the-air signal and converting that to analog.

Perhqap you are thinking of the OTA DVR?

But all the receivers that get OTA allow you to send that signal to an analog TV.

Yep, 622 and 722 both can also tune ATSC and output it via coax or RCA to a plain jane TV.
