I've noticed a recent substantial increase in Internet traffic from Dish Network to my 722 during evening hours, such that it's taking to large amount of the capacity of my high-speed connection. Is anyone else observing this? I believe the situation is their downloading of VOD movies, and it was my impression that Dish would only do this during early morning hours. Please let me know if the subject is being carried by another thread.

FVOD is one way to DVR, but from satellite. There are infomercial like Sling, etc what could come from Internet, but you're the first one who discovered it.
Check list of your recordings - see if time of recording is fit in your observed range.

Uncovered Problem

Thanks for the insight. I found nothing suspicious in the receiver's recording information so when back to suspecting my Netgear Powerline adapters, as both continued to show heavy traffic. I uncovered that the Internet connection was intermittent on the 722's broadband connection menu. The culprit appears to have been one of the two Powerline adapters. To verify, I moved the 722 power cord from the surge protector to a wall outline, and Internet traffic returned to normal.

I am also using a Netgear powerline adapter for networking my 722. Apparently they don't work through surge protectors. It was able to get an IP address through the surge protector but that was it. Moved it to a wall outlet and it works great now.
