Dish pause

Can I put Dish on Dish Pause, and then just cancel from there?
My contract ended already, but I don't know if I put it in pause I will have to return or something.

There is a Dish pause option. It will preserve things like HD for life, if you really want it. You will be able to resume service without commitment if you want to do so. I would private message a member of the DIRT squad here to pause your account if you want to do so.

Another option is to downgrade to the welcome package and continue to receive service while you are otherwise away.

If you are already past your contract commitment and want to cancel, you can do so without having to go to pause.

I can attest to that, had paused service for 4 months, when I reactivated my 722 and 612....nothing

You are able to watch all your recordings from your DVR however those recorded on EHD you will not be able to see, but not necessarily lose them unless of course you cancel your service totally. I just had my account pause March 3. Im able to watch all my DVR recorded shows but not the ones of my EHD. I still have 722k receiver and planning to upgrade to hopper before they re activate my account.

IIRC you'll have to re-activate first, then upgrade to Hopper.
